Prayer Point: The Judicial System

Prayer Point: January 24, 2013
Week 4 Focus: The Judicial System

supremecourtScripture tells us to “administer true justice” (Zech. 7:9). We are called to do that on a personal level, but on a larger scale our society relies on the judicial system to oversee acts of justice tempered by mercy. This is a burden that can weigh heavily upon many of our judges. Pray for our courts and for our judges to seek God’s wisdom in their rulings. Pray particularly for the justices who sit on the U.S. Supreme Court:

John G. Roberts, Jr., Chief Justice of the United States
Antonin Scalia
Anthony M. Kennedy
Clarence Thomas
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Stephen G. Breyer
Samuel Anthony Alito
Sonia Sotomayor
Elena Kagan

For those using our weekly devotional, American Psalms: Prayers for the Christian Patriot, there’s a prayer for the Judicial System on page 21 (Also available on Kindle).
